Starting on Monday, Jan. 10, your child will begin STAR testing in grades K-6. We need your help to get students ready and excited to show off all that they know! Let’s work together to make sure your child has a positive experience. Here are some tips for helping your child feel relaxed and ready to rock the test!
· Get a good night’s sleep.
· Eat a healthy breakfast every morning
· Gently, encourage your child to do their best!
For the specific test dates, please contact your child’s teacher.
Mrs. Aicher, RtI Coordinator
👉WHAT IS IT? Star Assessments are short tests that provide teachers with learning data. Star tests are computer adaptive, which means they adjust to each answer your child provides. ... Your child may take a Star test for early literacy, math, reading, or other subjects of their teacher's choice.

🌺Aloha!🌺 To avoid possible COVID-19 restrictions, the Iceland trip has now been changed to sunny Hawaii. On this once-in-a-lifetime adventure, you will explore the beauty of the Big Island of Hawaii and Oahu. You will hike through hardened lava tubes and see the lava glow of the Kilauea Caldera. You will snorkel among the tropical fish and coral reefs of Kealakekua Bay.
These are just a few of the adventures we will be taking while also experiencing Hawaiian history and seeing Pearl Harbor. Students and parents who are interested in taking this science based trip, need to sign up by December 17th to lock in the lower rates.
If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Jones. The trip dates are June 2nd-7th, 2022.
Do you know of a resident that could use some cheering up? Our G.I.V.E. organization is looking for addresses to send 🎄Christmas Greetings🎄 to. If you have someone in mind, please send their name and address to: j.adank@nlsd.k12.wi.us.
