Ben Morey, New Lisbon Technology & Engineering Teacher, was recently awarded a $5,000 America’s Farmers@GrowCommunities donation after being nominated by Robert & Koreen Frisk, Owners and operators of Frisk Family Farms. Mr. Morey plans to use the $5,000 donation to update the Mig Welders in the high school welding lab.
The Frisk Family is a strong supporter of New Lisbon students and the school. The Frisk Family has taught students oxy-acetylene welding and torching techniques, volunteered to drive students & class floats in the homecoming parade, as well as given classroom presentations about careers and job opportunities in welding. The New Lisbon Technology & Engineering Department is very thankful for strong community connections with local farms and businesses that continue to support New Lisbon students through donated funds, materials, and time to help provide valuable learning opportunities.
