A policy of calling parents when a child is absent.

The New Lisbon School's Safe Arrival Program will require a parent of any child absent from school to phone the school before 9:00 a.m. every day the child is absent.

If the school receives no such call and discovers via morning attendance reports that the child is absent, the school would phone the parent at home or work.

Parents should call the school at 562-3700 and leave a message about the student's absence from school. Those parents whose children are at the babysitter or place other than home should let the school know the name and phone number of the care giver.

Parental cooperation is needed if this program is to be successful and all parents are asked to help make this program run smoothly for the benefit and well-being of all our children.

Parents who must leave early for work can call the school anytime and leave the message on the school voice mail. It will be forwarded to the elementary office via the voice mail.
