High School

New Lisbon High School offers students a quality education in a personable and safe environment. An up-to-date facility assures that all students have the opportunity to be adequately prepared to meet the challenges beyond high school. To accomplish this, an experienced and diverse staff works to meet the needs of our entire student body.

A school is known by the spirit and involvement of the pupils and staff. New Lisbon High School offers many new experiences for our students as they move toward their future. The following suggestions help to make our students enjoy profitable years:

Be completely prepared for each day.

Participate in school activities in a positive way.

Respect yourself, your teachers, and your peers.

Help keep the building and grounds neat and clean.

Understand the procedures and expectations of the teachers and the school.

Conduct yourself in a manner that is a credit to you, your parents, and your community.

The successes achieved in high school are a direct result of the amount of effort contributed. We encourage every student to participate in all aspects of the school program and find those things that will prepare them to live the life they dream about once their school career is finished.

GIVE Hosts Dodgeball Tournament
By Elayne Hansen, GIVE Media Correspondent

GIVE held its third annual Take a Hit for Charity dodgeball tournament on Saturday, November 10 at New Lisbon Elementary School.

Four teams chose a charity to play for and paid the $100 entry fee for the tournament.  The Wrestlers chose the Wounded Warrior Project, the "Average Joes" played for the New Lisbon food pantry, the Seniors picked New Lisbon graduate and leukemia patient Kurt Lauden, and "Dodge the Vipers" chose St. Jude Children's Hospital.

To start the tournament, the teams played each other in a round robin format.  The two teams with the best records and point differentials would advance to the championship game.

The teams who made it to the final game were the Wrestlers, with a record of 3-0, and the Average Joes at 2-1.  The Wrestlers were looking to defend last year's championship, but couldn't keep pace with the Average Joes.  The Average Joes took the championship game and they won $400 for their charity, the New Lisbon food pantry.

Justin Giebel, GIVE officer and event chairperson, said, "The tournament went really well. It was nice to see so many community members wake up early and spend a Saturday morning helping charities and having fun at the same time."
