TECHNOLOGY! TECHNOLOGY! TECHNOLOGY!
I have had a Smartboard in my classroom for about 11 years. I have learned more and more every year about the benefits of this wonderful teaching tool. The interactive whiteboard is used in all areas of my curriculum; mathematics, literature, language, writing, research. The students use the smartboard for interactive learning and sharing.
We use a handheld student response system that allows me, the teacher, to monitor student understanding when they "buzz in" their answers to quizzes and impromptu discussion questions. SMART TECH, who designs and promotes the Smartboard hardware and software, have their own style of handheld response systems called SMART Response System. Most student tests and quizzes are taken with the Handheld Response System.

We have a classroom set of 20 iPod Minis. WE will be using them in many, many exciting ways this year in Math.
8th Grade Algebra is using an eBook for their Algebra Lessons. It has been quite a learning experience for all of us.
This year we will use GOOGLE DOCS and other GOOGLE Applications in our classroom to share information and work collaboratively.
